Expressing delight, Mark Carey, principal of Gilson National School commented:

The exercise routines provided us with a means to being active and staying fit in an enjoyable way. Before Covid-19, over 20,000 children across the island of Ireland took part in our face-to-face schools programme, and now we are bringing a brand-new campaign to schools all over Ireland. Fyffes are on the hunt to find ‘Ireland’s Fittest School’ and want your school to get involved. With our Fit Squad coaches Phil Healy and David Gillick providing the exercises to get started. It is over to your school to start earning some banana points by completing these weekly exercises and move up the Leaderboard.
The winner will be rewarded with €5,000 worth of sports equipment along with a special Fit Squad visit from our coaches. In addition to this, there will be plenty of prizes to be won along the way too! The campaign begins 1st November and runs until April 2022 and Fyffes will crown ‘Ireland's Fittest School’. We are inclusive and care about getting everyone actively involved, regardless of how fit you are. This is fun. This is fitness. This is Fyffes Fit Squad!
